- Zanaga Iron Ore Company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
- The sole shareholder of MPD Congo is Jumelles Mauritius, which is 100% owned by Jumelles BVI.
- Jumelles BVI held 50% of the shares plus one by Xstrata Projects Pty Ltd (Xstrata), a subsidiary of the Swiss mining group Xstrata. Jumelles’ other shareholder, with 50% of the shares minus one, is Zanaga Iron Ore Company (ZIOC), a company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
- Xstrata committed up to US$106 million to the Company to fund a PFS for the Zanaga Project. After completing the PFS, Xstrata had the option to invest at least US$100 million or carry out the BFS itself.

- Technical studies on the project’s development began in 2009, with a concept study and subsequent scoping study exploring different options for resource development

Before 2007
- Iron occurrences were believed to have first been discovered at the Zanaga Project location in 1939 and were officially reported by the French Geological Survey in 1954.
- During the 1950s and 1960s, several exploration programs were undertaken within the current Zanaga Licence Area.
